Thanks for the info. Looks like I'll try and get newcamd working. I'm having (I think!) getting yankse to connect. No provider id is in the yanksee monitor. I've looked at wincsc but am unsure of setting it up right. Have to learn!

Should I be able to se the conection to the card with Putty(telnet) or like?

You could try to connect with telnet:
telnet 192.168.1.10 679
192.168.1.10 is ip address of server
679 is portnumber of server. You should get a clean screen, no errors, to get out use <CTRL> and ]

didn't realy get to test much last night, but still am having problems. Just so I understand (and learn), when it says Starting Newcamd server.... It starts a server with adress 192.168.1.10 ? or does it start on my pc ip, 192.168.1.4 ? Also a bit confused, you say try 679 as this is the port nr of server, yet the log says starting Newcamd server on port 11010. Hope you can explain.

I tried all thes setting in Yanksee and in Wincsc, but couldn't connect to server :-

BTY, I telneted the adress and port you said to try and I got no errors, just a clean screen.

Signs like: ÇW»H¥×ÎÏØ߶x9&#9484; are passible when connecting to the right port. 679 was just an example. 11020 is yours or try your Radegast serverport.
And ofcourse it runs on the pc where Newcs is started! That's the idea of an server :blink: :blink:

Thank you. Didn't have time untill now to give the good news! I got it working. I used radegast server on port 678. Put this in the ini for yankse and bang, up came the channels! I'll be giving newcamd a try, as I'm intrested in the Auto update featre. How does that work?

Again, thank you for you patience and information. I must admit, it's a steep learning curve and most of the guides expect one to be a expert on servers, ports, ip adresses etc!

In this post you say "newcamd gives the opportunity to AU".
I use newcs + newcsgui on aWin2k pro computer
I have 2 relook 400s with mgcamd 1.25 client.
I try to do AU but it never update my smartcard.
Is it possibleto AU the smartcard with MGcamd ?

Nope, MGCamD uses the Radegast protocol, so no AU is possible.
Only CCcam connecting with the N: line and Newcamd itselves ofcourse.

gbox is more reliable or they are the same think?
i mean gbox on linux
