Thank you for your answer, colossus_r smile
Just to explain: dsr95oo(shàrè 1.6) is a program that acts as an interface between a server (tcp-ip, newcàmd protocol) and a client (rs232, D-mon protocol). In other words: [Phìlìps goldbox + dsr95ooshàrè] = newcamd client.

Sorry... you're perfectly right. My questions are not related with nèwcs... which is already running fine on my PC. But I have chosen not to open a new thread because of a couple of reasons:

1) My problem is not (directly) drèambox-related... so, I thought it was better to find something "similar" :D;
2) Maybe someone has already had (and realized) my same idea, that is: "Having a wìndòws (nèwcs) server, already running... why don't try to use that server (...that hardware...) also on different (emù-manageable) CA_systems, instead of updating the internal emùlators of all clients, every time "something" changes...?". And, if someone was succesful... in my opinion this thread was a good place to talk about his solution smile

I understand that my problem... is a "real" problem only if you use a "poor" platform (goldbox stb). But in Italy we say: "Hope is the last one to die"... smile
...I hope someone can have a suggestion... and will shàre it smile

BTW, if my posts are really "wrong"... excuse me for my mistake, and just delete them frown

Thank you again smile

Regards

Hi Colossus thanks for all the great input on this forum laugh

I wonder if you can help me. I have a windows based server up and running using NewCs and it works fine. I now want to set up yet another server serving other cards than the ones that I am serving with the first machine and want to know if I can set up cardspider on the windows machines? This so that those who are in the CS group can find the channels they want on either of the machines and also to have a type of redundancy in case one of the systems goes down. How do I get the cardspiders set up on the windows based machines??

Hi m8

No need to setup a cardspider for you to 2 server...for redundancy???? (how about a UPS )

Andyou can use Norton GHOST for backup of the server.

Even in a total pc crash you will be up and running in 15 min

So for the more cards ...Just add the new cards to your existing server

i hope i helped you

colossus

Hi Collossus,
The two servers are in different (physical) locations, one with a two norwegian cards and the other with one norweian card and a sky card. I want to set up a spider so everyone will have access to whatever card. That I have one same type of card in both servers is my redundancy, due to server/connection problems in the past.

Hi!

Thanx for a great how to....

But I am a noob when it comes to cs, so I wonder if someone can post a script. that shows examples of using 2 cards in cardserver with Newcs.

Good Day,

Per the How to by Colossus, i have setup my newcs cardserver with serial reader. There is a switch on the reader which i guess toggles between smartmouse and phoenix mode. I have tried both switches, and the output i get varies slightly. I am not sure which of the 2 is the correct one. I am using an irdeto v5 original card

Output 1)

SetConsoleWindowInfo
SetConsoleScreenBufferSize
Reading Config file C:\newc\newcs.xml

Also, the newcs.xml refers to different ports namely
<newcamd_port>10001</newcamd_port>
<udp_port>10000</udp_port>
<tcp_port>3001</tcp_port>

Is the one that is specified in the newcamd config file under "CWS" the udp_port

Thanks for any help
