I try since a week to share in my lan my official card but it doesn't work.

My hardware :

-1 PC with phoenix card reader on com1.
- 1 TT S2-3200
- DvbDream.

I have tested the hardware with poorman's cam with success.

I replace poormans plugin by Card Server Client V4.002
I configure NewCS 1.17 RC10 server
My newcs.xml file :

Hi everybody,

I'm trying tot get my windows newcs server running. I seached and tried a lot. But even with all the information i found it's not working :s

I have a win Xp system with a Smargo smartreader+. This USB device is installed properly. It gets com port 6 assigned.

So in the newcs.xml I use that port. As told earlier in this topic I set my server IP at the <udp_host> tag and entered the servername and user/passw combinations I want.

Here's my .xml:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!--

For setup-issues, look in readme.txt!
If there are other troubles, try different forums or irc channels around :o)

I have just downloaded newcs16 and installed it on my pc. I had a infinity usb phoenix lying around and went looking for it, hooked it up, set it to phoenix mode, added my card, set user and pass (amongst other settings) in newcs.xml and that was that on the computer side. thumbs

Clean install of gemini 4.0 on my 7020, installed mgcamd 1.25 on reciever tinkered a bit with necessary files and voila. :speak_cool:

What can I say, thank you seems little, I found you guide and instructions very clear.

(note - no previous experience in card sharing).

Your are quick learning then, in my time setting it up took about 1 week to get the job done using Linux, but then there was no such thing as usermanuals and help from overseas and this side of the ocean smile

Thanks for letting us know that this topic was usefull. thumbs

No doubt, I have been in computers and electronics for many years and I know that we (the new guys in card sharing and stuff) are taking advantage of the experience gathered by all you guys that have been busy with the subject for a number of years. All the credit for every advancement and success eventually leads back to you guys (who ever you may be).

All I want to say is thank you for being so forthcoming with the information you have gathered with so much work.

Can you please attach the config file and tell us which cardreader you're using.
This is essential information to get your problem solved.
Also tell us which serial port you are using to connect the reader.

the newcamd.conf you mean??
