Dear All,

today I changed the image from TWISTER X3 to new Ru Dream (107.4_rd_v20040501.1106.img) but after flashing the new image to BOX (Dream Box 7000S) is not worked. After I plug in the RUDREAM backgound come and the BOX goes to Standby Mode. :?

I think it should be fixed when you first flash it with an erase.img
That img emptys the whole DreamBox, probably there are some old settings which has a conflict with the new image.

Please try this, let us know if it worked.

You recommended the ERASE.IMG it is separate image, or you mean I going to do the ERASE (for instance ERASE on DREAMUP program) ?

If it is a separate, where can I find this image?

If not, I have already done the ERASE before I install a new Ru Dream image but it did not work.

Just for your info I use Dreamup program and flash the BOX through serial port, is it right or should it be installed through LAN?

This is a seperate image, this image erase whole flash memory, by just doing a flas erase you leave some marks from older images. This images fixes almost all strange and weird problems.
This erase.img must be done by serial port, then after that you must copy the new image again by serial port. After that you should never copy it by serial port again, this program DreamUp and DreamUpLan damages your flash prom, so the best way to upload your new image to your DreamBox is to copy it by using an FTP client. Copy the file to /var/tmp/ directory and rename it to "root.cramfs". After doing this you should go to the advanced settingsmenu in your DreamBox and choose for a firmware upgrade (Manual) then it will unpack the new image and reboot when done, you still must do a flash erase after this and then you'll have a great clean, working image.
