Hi, I got a DM7000 and a Sky (UK) card with subscription.
I would like to use the DreamBox only.
Can u please help to set my DreamBox to read a Sky card.
I've seen that it is possible with Sky Italy.

Hi I have a 500 with gemini and CCam 2.04 when my sky digbox blew up I put card into the dream box and it just worked no setting up it just worked EPG was a but strange but got me out of problems with the family whilst I fixed the sky box

I am not sure but i think you have to use Cccam for example as your default cam/emu , that should do .

Probably just CCcam wouldn't do, you must also add NewCS to read the card, please do not forget to adjust the CCcam.cfg file.

I find following on most images for decoding UK NDS with an official card:

No problems decoding with most versions of CCcam, you don't even need the config file, though it dosn't usually interfere (remove or configure if it does.
Also, depending on image, works with Mgcam/newCS, evocam/newCS all need config files (no need to actually edit them for just decoding).
Some images work with Scam (won't work if you add NewCS as well)
Of course Gbox2.25 (without NewCS) also does the trick (again requiring no editing for just decoding).

I have all the usual images, PLI, Puntalone, EDG, Colosseum, Gemini, Satan, Peter Pan, Newcastle, SIF team etc.
Currently have about 20 images on a 4GB USB multi (via Flashwizard on a 7020)

I have tried the following combinations successfully:

EDG image (with the extra URL):

CCcam 2.0.5
Mgcamd 1.27/NewCS 1.50
Evocam 2.17/NewCS 1.50
Camd 3.897/NewCS 1.50
Scam 328
Gbox2.25d

Other images are similar but restricted by compatability of the emu's used eg Colosseum CCcam not same as EDG CCcam (wont load, differant URL source as you know).

However not yet found an image with a blue panel shall we say that CCcam 2.0.5 won't work on (without need for a config file to be present let alone edited).

I don't haven any experience with an NDS card but was curious about it.
This answers my question partly, but do you know if CCcam updates your card properly or needs it still to be updated in an original skybox?

Updating is still necessary in a SKY receiver.
I dont know how often this is necessary, but in fact a genuine SKY card can exist in the same way in another SKY box for the same length of time as in a db.
I believe it varies from several days to several weeks.
The same problem exists with a diablo or trex cam in a say Technomate 1500CI (with the appropriate software)
