can DreamBox dm-500s can be connected into external phoenix card reader via its serial port ? if it can, what plugins should be used to detect its card reader ?

No plugins needed, just modify your emu config file.

Well I haven't been using cards for a while, but spent some time a year or so ago doing two cards on a DB500 Server so I could run 3 Cardless Clients without having to buy a bunch of cards. I needed two cards for two providers.

I also ran 2 cards on 2 Servers and 2 Cardless Clients without having to use the Phenoix. Newcs and Mgcamd are very flexible.
