Hi all,
I came to this forum because I have a question about cardsharing. After reading various topic on this forum I have to say that I am impressed about the knowledge that you people possessed on the subject so I thought that you might be able to answer my question.
Currently I have one
DreamBox at home that has a card on it that allows me to watch my favorites channels. I was thinking to buy another
DreamBox for another room in the house and then use cardsharing between the two boxes. After reading about it on the web and to this forum I thing I have a fairly good idea how it can be done.
However yesterday a friend of mine came for a visit, and after I mention to him about cardsharing he gave me a lot of question about it. I did tried to answer him all his questions but after he was gone I become wonder of something else.
Is it possible to connect three dreamboxes in a NOT typical client - server manner? Currently, if not mistaken, if you want to connect three boxes using one card, you set one of the boxes as the card server, say the box1, and then the other two boxes, box2 and box3 will connect to box1 and receive the keys, right?
But what I am asking here is if it is possible to have box1 to act as the server, then to have box2 receive the keys from box1, and finally have box3 receive the keys from box2? Why would someone would want this? Well this would decrease the load on the server box (box1), since the box2 will also act as a server for box3.
Is this even possible and if yes how can be done? I am just curious.
Thanks,
phanosp
